Effects That Last: Status & Cluster Rework
Bleed now ticks for 4 turns and Wound lasts 4 turns on its own timer — attacking no longer breaks it. Three Suikamon changed clusters, and the whole roster was re-tuned around it.
Battles were being decided before any strategy could land. Bleed burned out after two turns and a Wound closed the instant its victim threw a punch, so every debuff you spent a Magic turn applying was gone before you could build on it. Status effects now last long enough to matter, three Suikamon moved into clusters that actually match their moves, and every base stat was re-tuned around both changes.
Bleed ticks for 4 turns
Every INFECT species' Magic — Flame Burst, Savage Bite, Sky Talons, Inferno Breath, Bramble Bite — now applies a bleed that ticks at the start of each of the next 4 turns instead of 2. Each tick is a quarter of the bleed value rather than half, so a full bleed still costs about what it always did — it is just spread over twice as long, which doubles the window your Attack has to exploit it. Re-applying refreshes the whole duration.
Wound runs on its own timer
This is the bigger change. A Wound used to vanish the moment the wounded fighter used Attack or Magic, which meant it almost never survived a turn. Now it lasts 4 turns on its own clock and halves *every* heal in that window. Attacking no longer breaks it — you have to survive the window instead of cancelling it, which finally makes CRIPPLE a strategy rather than a one-turn inconvenience.
Three Suikamon changed jobs
Some species were sitting in clusters that had nothing to do with their moves:
- Pefareon — Blood Drain never drained anything, it just built a shield. It leaves WALL for CRIPPLE: Blood Drain now wounds for 4 turns, Fang Strike punishes wounded prey, and its Dodge can open a fresh wound. It keeps the cluster's biggest Recover, so it plays as the vampire that out-lasts what it has already crippled.
- Zaricat — Static Lock is paralysis, not a wound. It joins FREEZE, where Lightning Claw hits stunned targets for a big bonus. Its stun lands 65% of the time rather than always, because Thunder already has the element edge over half the roster.
- Pikoto — Rage Cluck is a berserk finisher, not a bleed. It joins EXECUTE alongside Toro and Talion, hitting far harder once you are under half health.

Clusters are now an even 5 / 4 / 4 / 3 / 3 instead of one bloated six-species INFECT and a two-species EXECUTE, so every playstyle has real competition inside it.
A tighter roster
Longer effects and new clusters meant re-tuning every base stat. The result is the tightest roster the game has had: 56 of 57 species/level checks now sit inside the 40–60% win-rate band, against six outliers before this pass. The weakest species climbed from 37.8% to 40.8%, and the strongest came down from 62.1% to 60.2%. Shields are untouched — they still never decay.
