# Suikamon
> Suikamon is a free virtual pet game you play in your browser — no signup and no payment to start. Pick a free Common starter, raise it with daily care (feed, clean, train, rest), watch it evolve, and battle other trainers in turn-based PvP. Every other Suikamon — Rare, Epic and Legendary — is discovered in eggs found at level milestones, and in Soul Shards paid by ranked trophy tiers. Sign in with email to keep your progress.

## Key facts
- Free to play in the browser. Training battles need no account.
- Free play: pick a starter, full care loop, no login needed. Guest pets are capped at level 3 (XP keeps accruing) and at the end of the first campaign zone; signing up free with email lifts both caps and carries all progress over on the same pet.
- Pets evolve through six stages; the level cap is 100.

## Campaign — "The Last Souls" (PvE story)
A ten-world single-player campaign spanning levels 1 to 100, told in two acts of five worlds. The island's Soul, a great shining crystal on its oldest hearth, broke into 19 shards, each hidden inside one species: the Last Souls. Each waits at a soul node, and winning its trial earns its Soul Shard. All 19 together make the island whole again. Clan Z cage the carriers, and the Soul-Eater walks in the gray dust they leave behind.
Act I, The Five Guardians (worlds 1–5), gives each of the island's Guardians back what it lost. Act II, The First Keeper (worlds 6–10), reveals that the Soul-Eater is the First Keeper himself and pursues him past the island's edge.
- World 1: **Verdant Forest** (levels 1–10)
- World 2: **Sunken Bay** (levels 11–20)
- World 3: **Cinder Pass** (levels 21–30)
- World 4: **Storm Summit** (levels 31–40)
- World 5: **Mirror Isle** (levels 41–50)
- World 6: **Champion Road** (levels 51–60)
- World 7: **Ash Fields** (levels 61–70)
- World 8: **Storm Vault** (levels 71–80)
- World 9: **Pale Coast** (levels 81–90)
- World 10: **First Shore** (levels 91–100)
Squad battles ramp 1v1 → 2v2 → 3v3, and a player's pets are capped at each world's finale level.
## Care, minigames and bonding
Daily care — feed, clean, train, rest — is the heart of the game and the main way a pet earns XP and evolves. Each action has its own cooldown, and hunger, happiness and energy decay over time.
- **Care minigames**: thirteen optional skill games (Fruit Catch, Fruit Slice, Recipe Tap, Snack Sort, Memory Flip for feeding; Rhythm Training, Reflex Blocks, Balance Beam, Block Drop for training; Bubble Scrub, Mud Swipe, Sparkle Polish, Pest Whack for cleaning). Playing well reaches a tier (Bronze/Silver/Gold/Perfect) that adds bonus XP and happiness. They only amplify the care action — skipping is one tap and never penalised — and scores are validated server-side, so they cannot mint currency.
- **Companion greetings**: every Suikamon has one of four personalities (Sunny, Sage, Rascal, Champion) and speaks at meaningful moments — its monthly hatch-day, a return after a break, a care-streak milestone. Pure bonding: no stats, no cost.
- **Rival of the Day**: a once-per-day rematch against a campaign rival already beaten, worth bonus XP for the whole squad.
## How a battle works
Each round both trainers commit to one of four moves — attack, magic, dodge or recover — and may back it with cards from a hand of 5. A player may play a meld of up to 4 copies of one card of the move they committed to, or play the move bare; only cards of the committed move count towards the exchange. The cards decide who wins the exchange; the move decides what winning it does. Elements (Fire, Water, Nature, Thunder) counter each other, so the matchup shifts the odds.
Move legality is the same in every mode and the server owns all randomness. Modes: Training (free, no account), Trial (your own pet, XP only), Ranked (Trophies), Squad Ranked (3v3, Trainer ELO), and the PvE campaign.
## Currencies and discovery
- **Suika** — a pet's energy, earned in battles and refilled free when low; spent in the Skill Store on battle skills. Buying a skill you already own adds a copy; enough copies raise it from Common to Rare to Epic.
- **Scrolls** — earned from campaign wins and the daily ladder, spent on skills.
- **Soul Shards** — dropped by battle wins and saved Guardians, one kind per species, rarer for rarer Suikamon; enough of a species' shards recovers its soul (its egg) in Recovered Souls on the profile. Shards of a Suikamon you already own become Suika.
- **Daily reward** — open the game once a day for Trainer Suika on a 10-day streak.
- **Discovery** — one free Common starter per trainer; every 10 levels a Suikamon finds an egg and ranked trophy tiers pay Soul Shards toward more — the only way to meet Rare, Epic and Legendary species.
